This Privacy Policy describes the principles and practices that apply to Personal Information (defined below) collected from users of our services ("you") on our Site, in telephone or e-mail communications, during medical case coordination, or in interviews, surveys, or promotions.
Given the nature of our work, this Policy pays particular attention to the collection, use, and protection of medical and health-related information, which we treat as sensitive personal data requiring the highest standard of care.

CONSENT
Because we handle Health Information, we obtain your explicit, separate consent before collecting or processing any medical or health-related data, distinct from your general consent to this Policy. This is typically obtained when you submit medical reports, complete a treatment enquiry form, or engage a Case Manager.
If you do not agree with these terms, do not provide any Personal Information to us. If you refuse or withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide Services that require access to certain Personal Information — including, in the case of Health Information, the ability to arrange a hospital match, second opinion, or treatment plan on your behalf.
MINORS
Minors (as defined under the laws of their jurisdiction of residence) may not independently register for or Engage our Services. Where a Patient is a minor, all Personal and Health Information must be submitted by, and consented to by, a parent or legal guardian on the minor's behalf. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information directly from a minor without such consent.
ATTENDANTS, COMPANIONS, AND OTHER INDIVIDUALS
If you provide us with Personal Information or Health Information of an Attendant, Companion, or any other individual (for example, a family member accompanying a Patient, or a home-country doctor for case closure reports), you confirm that you have the right and necessary consent to do so, and that such individual has authorized you to share their information with us for the purposes described in this Policy.
OUR COMMITMENTS TO YOU
We hereby state that:
- We will not collect Personal Information, and particularly Health Information, without your knowledge and explicit permission.
- We will take reasonable and heightened steps to maintain the confidentiality of Health Information, consistent with its sensitivity.
- We will not knowingly disclose your Personal Information or Health Information to third parties, except as provided in this Policy or with your specific consent.
- We will allow you to view, correct, or request removal of your Personal Information, subject to legal and medical record-keeping requirements.
- We will only share your Health Information with Hospital Partners, doctors, or specialists directly involved in your care, or as required to deliver the Services you have requested.
HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION
We use Personal Information, including Health Information, for purposes such as:
- Reviewing medical reports to facilitate a second opinion or hospital/doctor match.
- Coordinating treatment plans, cost estimates, and hospital admissions on your behalf.
- Arranging visa documentation, travel, airport pickup, and accommodation.
- Communicating with you and your designated Attendants about your treatment journey.
- Issuing invoices, administering accounts, and processing payments related to our Services (not hospital billing, which is handled and paid directly to the Hospital Partner).
- Providing post-discharge follow-up, discharge summary explanations, and case closure reports to your home-country doctor, where requested.
- Improving our Services, diagnosing technical issues with the Site, and enhancing your experience.
- Sending you updates, informational content, or offers, if you have subscribed to receive them.
- Investigating and preventing fraud, error, or misuse of our Services.
- Complying with legal, regulatory, or accreditation requirements applicable to healthcare facilitation.
- Any other purpose to which you separately consent.
We do not use Health Information for marketing, advertising, or any purpose unrelated to facilitating your care, without your explicit separate consent.
AGGREGATED INFORMATION
We may use aggregated, de-identified information — where no individual can be identified or inferred — to understand patient trends (for example, common treatment types by region), improve our Services, or share general insights with Hospital Partners or investors. Aggregated information never includes identifiable Health Information.
TO WHOM WE DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may disclose your Personal Information, including Health Information where relevant, as follows:
- To Hospital Partners, doctors, and specialists directly involved in evaluating or providing your treatment — limited to the information necessary for that purpose.
- To visa facilitation agencies or relevant government authorities, where required to support your medical visa application.
- To service providers acting on our behalf — for example, translation/interpreter services, accommodation providers, ground transportation, or IT and payment processing vendors — limited strictly to the information they need to perform their function, and under contractual obligations consistent with this Policy.
- To your designated home-country doctor, where you have requested a case closure report or continuity-of-care summary.
- To your Attendants or family, where you have consented to status updates being shared with them.
- To regulatory, insurance, or legal authorities, where required by law, or to protect Monk On The Go, our Patients, or the public from fraud, harm, or legal liability.
- In connection with a corporate transaction (merger, acquisition, or reorganization of Monk Care International OPC Private Limited), where information is transferred to a successor entity in the ordinary course of business, subject to equivalent privacy protections.
We do not sell Health Information to third parties, and we do not share it with Hospital Partners for commercial or referral-commission purposes — only to facilitate the medical care you have requested.
HOW WE RETAIN AND STORE PERSONAL INFORMATION
We retain Personal Information, including Health Information, only as long as necessary to provide our Services, meet legal and medical record-keeping obligations, resolve disputes, or comply with applicable law. Medical records may be retained for longer periods where required by Indian healthcare recordkeeping regulations or where necessary for continuity of care.
Your information is stored on secured servers controlled by Monk Care International OPC Private Limited or its contracted service providers, with access restricted to authorized personnel involved in your care coordination.
HOW WE PROTECT PERSONAL INFORMATION
We employ physical, administrative, and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold — with enhanced protections applied to Health Information, including restricted access controls and encryption where applicable. Any service provider handling your information on our behalf is contractually required to maintain protections consistent with this Policy.
If you contact us through the Site or share medical reports via e-mail, please be aware that no transmission over the internet is entirely secure. Where possible, we recommend sharing sensitive medical documents through secure channels provided by our Case Managers rather than unencrypted e-mail.
YOUR RIGHTS
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access the Personal Information and Health Information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your information, subject to legal and medical recordkeeping obligations.
- Withdraw consent for the use of your Health Information at any time, understanding that this may limit our ability to continue coordinating your care.
Requests can be directed to our Grievance/Data Protection contact (see below).

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY AND CHANGES IN OWNERSHIP
We may update this Policy from time to time, and will post the revised version on our Site with an updated effective date. If we make material changes to how we use Health Information beyond what you originally consented to, we will seek fresh consent as required by applicable law. If any change is unacceptable to you, you may request removal of your Personal Information from our records, subject to legal retention requirements.
